Kolbe Korner

What are those colorful charts that are posted in the office break room?

They might just be the Kolbe A™ reports of each dental team member.

That’s how I found out about this valuable tool.

I saw them posted on the break room wall in a dental practice. Each colorful bar code reflects the specific strengths of each team member. Kolbe A™ assessments measure how we “do” things instinctively.

Can you imagine the power of knowing how you and each of your team members solve problems instinctively?

Imagine if you clearly knew each team member’s strength and could place them in positions that played to those strengths.

WELCOME TO KOLBE.

Ancient philosophers and modern psychologists share the concept of a 3-part mind with separate domains for thinking, feeling, and doing.

  • The thinking we call cognitive.
  • The feeling we call affective.
  • The doing we call conative and contains the striving instincts that drive a person’s natural way of taking action.

We measure the cognitive with assessments like IQ Tests, skills test, SAT tests, etc. Many of the assessments in use today such as Myers Briggs, DISC, Strengthsfinder, Colors, etc., measure the affective part of the mind.

The only assessment currently that measures the conative part of the mind is Kolbe.

At Healthcare Management Consultants we have 2 Kolbe Certified™ consultants to help you hire wisely and lead effectively.
