Cheri H. Brown, CPC, CHCC, joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 1999 and serves as the Director of Practice Management. She attended Central Piedmont Community College and has dual certifications as a Professional Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders and as a Healthcare Compliance Consultant. Cheri's previous experience includes over 20 years in physician billing, coding, auditing and consulting in both private practice and academic medical center environments.

C. David Carpenter, CHBC, EA, is the President of Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc. He received his BS degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has been a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant since 1981 and is a Fellow Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants. David is also enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. David served on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants from 1995-1999 and served as President from 1998-1999. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Statistics Committee of the NSCHBC. David co-founded PCSi Healthcare Consultants in Southern Pines in December 1984 with two partners who recently retired. He has over 34 years of experience in healthcare consulting for physicians and dentists.

He attended Catawba College and has over 26 years of experience in medical and dental strategic practice consulting, information systems consulting, accounting, tax, retirement plan design and administration and new practice start-up services.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant and is a Charter Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants. Stan has over 28 years of experience in finance and accounting, tax and consulting.

Tom is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant, a Charter Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Tom currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce. He has over 21 years of experience in healthcare consulting for physicians and dentists.

Donna has specialized training in Defined Contribution Plans including Profit Sharing, 401(K), Money Purchase and Cross-Tested Plans. Prior to joining Healthcare Management Consultants, she had 17 years of experience in customer service, accounting and supervision.
