Tom Loblein

Thomas R. Loeblein, CHBC, CFP®
President/CEO

Tom is the President/CEO of Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc. He joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 1992. Tom is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant, a Charter Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants, a Kolbe Certified Consultant, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Tom has served in numerous leadership positions in the community including Board Chair, Rowan County Chamber of Commerce and Salisbury Academy and Treasurer of the Community Care Clinic of Rowan County and Waterworks Visual Arts Center. He has over 24 years of experience in healthcare consulting for physicians and dentists.

Stanford R. Jordan

Stanford R. Jordan, CPA, CHBC
Vice President/CFO

Stan is a Vice President/CFO of Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc. He joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2000 and serves as a Senior Consultant and Tax Partner.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant and is a Charter Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants. Stan has over 33 years of experience in finance and accounting, tax and consulting.

B. Todd Dagenhart

B. Todd Dagenhart, CHBC
Vice President/COO

Todd is a Vice President/COO of Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc. A past President of the company, he joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 1986 and serves as a Senior Consultant.

Todd is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant and is a Charter Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants. He attended Catawba College and has over 30 years of experience in medical and dental strategic practice consulting, information systems consulting, accounting, tax, retirement plan design and administration and new practice start-up services.

Tim S. Norris

Timothy Scott Norris, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CHBC
Vice President/COO

Tim is Vice President/COO of Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc.  He joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2004 as Director of Human Resources and Corporate Documents Manager. He has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Strategic Planning.  Tim received an M.B.A. degree from Pfeiffer University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute, a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources through the Society For Human Resources Management, and is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant.  Tim is also a Kolbe Certified Consultant and completed Dave Ramsey’s Master Financial Coaching program in 2016.

Tim has served in numerous leadership positions in the community to include two terms as Board Chair, Rowan Helping Ministries, two terms as Board Chair, North Hills Christian School, and is currently Chair of the Board for the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce in Salisbury, North Carolina.

C. David Carpenter

C. David Carpenter, CHBC, EA
Vice President

David is a Vice President with Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc. He received his BS degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has been a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant since 1981 and is a Fellow Member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants.

David is also enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. David co-founded PCSi Healthcare Consultants in Southern Pines in December 1984. PCSi merged with HMC in 2005. He has 40 years experience in healthcare consulting for physicians and dentists and specializes in partner level conflicts.

Cheri H. Brown

Cheri H. Brown, CPC, CHCC
Director of Practice Management

Cheri is the Director of Practice Management and joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 1999. She attended Central Piedmont Community College and has dual certifications as a Professional Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders and as a Healthcare Compliance Consultant.

Cheri’s previous experience includes over 20 years in physician billing, coding, auditing and consulting in both private practice and academic medical center environments.

Nancy R. Shirley

Nancy R. Shirley, MS
Director of Client Services

Nancy joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2004 as Director of Client Services. She previously held positions with Farm Credit, GE Capital, and Barclays American, bringing more than 25 years of experience in finance, credit, and collections. Nancy holds a BS from Clemson University and a MS from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Having held many volunteer positions, she currently serves on the board of the NC Central Boy Scout Council and the St. John’s Benevolent Foundation Board. She is an avid photographer, teaches organization classes and loves cows. At Healthcare Management, Nancy is your go-to person for billing and business personal property tax matters.

Leah Ann Honeycutt

Leah Ann Honeycutt
Project Manager

Leah Ann Honeycutt joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2010 in our Salisbury office. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Business School Honors Program. Leah Ann also represented the University as a scholarship member of the Track & Field Team for all four years of her college career.

Leah Ann has a combined ten years of experience working for a “big six” and employee benefits consulting firms. She brings to our firm strong technical as well as project management skills.

Tamela D. Cauble

Tamela D. Cauble, CPA
Senior Tax Specialist

Tamela is a Senior Tax Specialist and joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2002. She is a cum laude graduate of Gardner-Webb University and has over 20 years of public accounting experience providing small business clients with write-up, payroll, and tax services.

Tamela is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and N.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants.

W. Charles Whaley

Senior Tax Specialist

Charles joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2015 and serves as the Senior Tax Specialist.  He is a Certified Public Accountant with over 10 years of “Big 4” public accounting and industry experience in providing quality accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients.

Charles is dedicated to helping our clients achieve business success through the implementation of practical and sound tax and financial processes.  He received a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a Master’s of Science in Accounting from Appalachian State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and N.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Miyuki T. Rutkofske

Miyuki T. Rutkofske
Client Account Representative

Miyuki joined the Southern Pines office of Healthcare Management Consultants in 2000 as a Client Account Representative. She is a graduate of Fuji Business College in Japan and has 16 years of accounting experience. Miyuki is also a graduate of Sandhills Community College with a degree in Accounting.

Elizabeth joined the Southern Pines office of Healthcare Management Consultants in 2003 as a Client Account Representative. She has 26 years of public accounting experience providing small to medium-sized businesses with write-up, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, corporate and personal income tax services.

Beth also owned and operated her own ceramic tile installation business for 11 years.  Part time, she currently serves as finance manager for her church.

Brenda joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2013 as a Client Account Representative. Brenda has over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and customer service gained through a diverse background including a Fortune 500 Company, one of the largest privately owned wholesale greenhouses in the Southeast, and a regional power sports dealer. Brenda enjoys quilting and gardening in her spare time.

Penny joined Healthcare Management Consultants in 2005 as an Account Representative. Penny has an Associate Degree, and over 22 years of experience as an office manager and bookkeeper in manufacturing and retail. She is married to Mark Harris and they love the Carolina Panthers!

Stephanie A. Webb

Stephanie A. Webb
Client Account Representative

Stephanie joined the Healthcare Management Consultants team in 2013 as a Client Account Representative. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and over 10 years of accounting experience.

Before joining our team, Stephanie was associated with one of the nation’s most prestigious golf facilities – Trump National Golf Club located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Spending time with family is Stephanie’s #1 priority and whenever possible, she and her husband enjoy traveling.

Lisa Markham

Lisa Markham
Executive Assistant

Lisa joined Healthcare Managements Consultants in March 2013. Lisa has spent the last 25 plus years serving local executives in positions to include, Corporate Compliance, Chief Financial Officers and Chief Executive Officers, in the fields of healthcare and banking.

Lisa has served on the board of Families First-NC, Inc., a non-profit United Way Agency, for ten years and has served as Board Chair and Treasurer. She also served as Treasurer of the Rowan Rotary Club and is on the Board of Directors. She is an amateur landscape designer and gardener and a voracious reader.

Christine L. Sekulski

Christine is a Retirement Plan Administrator with Healthcare Management Consultants, Inc. She joined the firm in 2016 with over 15 years of operational, administrative and consulting experience. Christine is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) where she earned her Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designations.
